This is us,
your Fischer family
with a…
Hospitality
is not only a full glass,
a well-served dish,
a soft bed,
a roof above your head
and a pretty landlady.
Hospitality
is made up of warmth,
many sincere words,
sometimes even a hug,
and of being conscious that
here I am welcome.
With a warm greeting the host Julia, Christa and Georg welcome you at the Widmannhof. Our family gives high importance to the wellbeing of our guests. With much enthusiasm and engagement, we manage our farm, and we would be very glad to welcome you soon as our guests.

Julia
Horse-back riding at the farm Widmannhof is Julia’s passion. With incredible commitment as well as plenty of creativity, patience, and empathy, she turns every riding lesson into an utterly unique experience… and the shining eyes of children riding on a horse are simply a joy!
Appropriate care and the welfare of all the different animals at the farm Widmannhof are especially important to Julia. She works for the well-being of the animals with great passion and tireless effort.

Christa
The wonderful flowers, the magnificent fruit and vegetable garden, the delicious jams, the playful and artistically decorated nooks and crannies of the farm, the attention to detail and the “world’s best” apple strudel that is appreciated and praised by all – all of this is created by Christa’s wonderful hands and is her passion. She pampers and looks after our dear guests with great commitment and always has a special hiking tip for you up her sleeve.

Georg
Georg is just as irreplaceable at the farm Widmannhof as Julia and Christa. Farming, working with the cows and in the fields, keeping the farm in good shape with all repairs, conversions, and renovations – that is Georg’s calling and profession. With great commitment and passion, Georg looks after the well-being of the animals and manages the farm in a sustainable manner in harmony with nature. He enjoys telling our guests stories from the past or revealing secret tips for places to visit during their hikes to enjoy traditional food and drink.
Dive into
& farm life and experience a day
at the farm Widmannhof
You can hear the clatter of the horses’ hooves, which are already waiting impatiently for their food. The rooster crows, the sheep bleat in unison, and slowly the day begins at the farm Widmannhof.
You are still in bed and dozing off, while your kids are already dressed and waiting at the door, wanting to go out to say good morning to the animals.
While your excited children are busy helping in the barns and bringing the animals their food together with Julia and Georg, you prepare breakfast and the smell of fresh coffee wafts through the apartment.
Time flies and you almost missed the start of the riding hour. Your kid is just taking his horse to the riding arena, looking at you proudly and beaming all over his face. You watch from your balcony or from our artistic wooden grandstand, a coffee cup in one hand and a croissant in the other. Seeing your child happy – shining eyes, a radiant smile – riding on a horse is an indescribably deep feeling that brings pure happiness.
You are leisurely setting off on a spectacular hike up our local mountain, Mount Plose. Everyone packs their backpack, laces up their hiking boots and off you go by car or bus to the valley station in St. Andrä, from where the cable car starts.
You hike along the exciting and varied family trail  WoodyWalk, your children rush from the balance beam to the suspension bridge and to the wonderfully staged Kneipp Path. The mountain lodge Rossalm invites you to take a break and awaits you with delicious food and South Tyrolean hospitality.
You spend a wonderful day in the mountains, enjoy the fresh and clear mountain air and will be enchanted by the breathtaking and unique panorama of the Dolomites mountains.
Once you return to the farm Widmannhof, you could go back on a horse or glide into our whirlpool with an exclusive panoramic view. Let the water massage you while your gaze glides over the Brixen valley basin. Your children might stir up the pool a bit and romp in the warm water.
A round on the swing and then on the trampoline or maybe a game of table football…and before dinner, a quick visit to the stables to say goodnight to all the animals.
Your children may already be in bed or still playing catch outside because they simply love being in the open air and playing together so much. You take time just for yourself and go to the sauna, where you may enjoy the soothing warmth and peace. Take a book with you and unwind in our relaxation room that smells of pine wood. Sip a glass of wine on the sauna balcony and look out over the town of Brixen, where the lights gradually come on at dusk.
An exciting and fulfilling day is ending…the children are called inside, made ready for bed and just before they fall asleep, they talk about the great riding adventures, the loving animals and all the unique experiences of this day.
Night falls over the farm Widmannhof and all its residents and animals, and everyone looks forward to the next day with great anticipation, hoping that it will be just as exciting and thrilling.
A pleasant silence spreads – restful sleep, recharging your batteries.
